Gaskets

Engiplas offers a comprehensive line of sealing solutions for handling hazardous fluids in chemical process plants.

We produce envelope gaskets according to DIN 2690/EN 1514-1, DIN 28148, ANSI B16.21, UNI 2229.


PTFE gaskets have the following features:

  • Resistant to almost all known chemicals
  • Non-corrosive, non-contaminating, non-wetting
  • Excellent electrical insulator in virgin form
  • Maximum working temperature 250C deg

Solid rings

  • Machined rings consist of virgin PTFE (or TFM upon request)

V Shape

    The V-shape envelope is CNC - machined from virgin PTFE in one piece with a wall thickness of 0.5mm


U Shape

    The U - shape envelope is CNC - machined from virgin PTFE in one piece with a wall thickness of 0.5mm. This shape has a thicker wall thickness in the inner diameters which increase service life.

    Envelope gaskets for glass - lined equipment.

    In glass-lined equipment such as pipes and fittings, vessels, reactors, columns.

    It is very important to avoid applying excessive closing torque on the glass-lined sealing face.

    To achieve proper sealing pressure, a corrugated SS plate is inserted between the two filler rings; the envelope shape remains its intended shape - V or U.

    The corrugated ring can be provided with a centering tab - earthing.
